An 18 hole par 70 golf course on the outskirts of Glasgow, originally laid out in 1895 by legendary golf course architect James Braid.
Sitting amongst a rolling layout with spectacular views of the Campsie Fells and Clyde Valley as backdrops, our golf course and clubhouse is ideally situated within easy reach of Glasgow and located within the burgh of Kirkintilloch, often referred to as the ‘Canal Capital of Scotland’. We believe our golf course to be a great test of golf and is regarded by many as having the finest greens in the county.
Our clubhouse comprises of a large lounge which is ideal for private functions, whilst our smaller dining room serves regular lunches and dinners for those special occasions such as Valentine's Day, Burns Night etc. Our well stocked bar and consistently great food is complemented by Sky TV and major sporting events shown on the big screen in the lounge.
Our Professional Shop Team is managed by our resident PGA Professional Graeme Fisher, and they are always available for all your golfing needs with a fantastic array of golf equipment, clothing and custom fitting. Graeme also provides a teaching service via both outdoor and now indoor via our fantastic "Urban Gowf" golf simulator where you can play some of the top courses in the world. Outdoor practice facilities comprise of 3 driving bays, putting green both of which are directly adjacent to the clubhouse. In addition to this, our full size practice area (adjacent to the 16th hole) has driving mats, distance targets, full size green and bunker to help you improve your game.

I was reflecting the other day that our motto "Persevere in Hope" is as relevant today as it ever has been in our 125 year history.
Our lives have changed in quite extraordinary ways in such a short space of time - but we will get through this with collective community effort and with the help of our heroes in the NHS and key workers.
Rest assured your Business Council is doing all that they can to manage the disruption and unique challenges this crisis has presented us with. We are taking steps to protect the course, the clubhouse and most importantly our staff. We will also strive to keep you informed with any changes that occur as quickly as we are able.
Help and assistance continues to be available for any member who requires it - as the guidance has strengthened we appreciate this will present even greater challenges and concerns, particularly for our older members. My contact details are included below - please feel free to reach out. This is a moment in our history to come together and support each other, your continued support for our Club is more valuable to us than ever before.
I look forward to seeing you very soon out on the Course.

Members will no doubt be aware of the new movement restrictions now in place by the government. The Business Council has therefore taken the decision to CLOSE THE CLUBHOUSE AND COURSE WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT until further notice.
As we all get used to the latest restrictions, the Business Council continues to review the situation and this evening held its first virtual meeting to be updated on actions taken and to be taken as we navigate through this. Unfortunately the timing of the announcement yesterday and the speed with which the restrictions were enforced made it impossible for us to allow members to remove personal items from the clubhouse and we apologise for the inconvenience this may have caused. The clubhouse will remain closed while current restrictions are in place. Taking advice from the national body, Scottish Golf, who have been in discussion with government authorities, we have established that greens staff will be allowed to carry out essential maintenance and our staff will commence this programme immediately to ensure that the course is ready when we get the all clear. This will be done keeping the well-being of our staff in mind at all times. Staff will also ensure that the clubhouse is secure. We do wish to make a plea to any member who has still to pay their annual subscription to do this as soon as possible. It is imperative to the health of the golf club that we retain all of our members and complete the subscription process in a timely manner. We will be contacting you in the coming days to advise how payments can be made at the present time.
Meantime we ask everyone to stay safe and look after yourselves.
We have car club visits scheduled for March and April with the MX5 and Jaguar clubs and the Open Golf events scheduled throughout the summer.
