We are extremely proud and honoured to have Colin Montgomerie OBE (Ryder Cup 2010 Captain, 8 time Volvo Order of Merit Winner, 8 time Ryder Cup player) as our honorary president.  "Monty! officially comments on Kirkintilloch Golf Club as follows.......

"As Honorary President of Kirkintilloch Golf Club, I commend the Golf Club to all who have an interest in this unique sport, namely the game of golf.

The club, founded in 1895, has a record of diligent and continued progress over its lengthy history - in keeping with the Burgh of Kirkintilloch motto "Ca' canny, but ca' awa'."  No more so than the extending of the course in 2000, since when it has been recognised and accepted as coming of age as a private golf club, offering a challenging but fair test of golf for members and an increasing number of introduced visitors and society guests who have 'found' KGC.

Whilst offering enjoyment to family members, the course offers three seriously testing par 4s - the 7th, 9th and 12th holes, that call on scratch golfers to summon of their best, to save dropped shots.

I wish members and visitors alike, many enjoyable days at Todhill."
